Urgently require junior developers

The success of Montpellier Interactive and our growing volume of bespoke web application products and services has led to a need for additional developer(s) to join our young and energetic team.

Montpellier Interactive has quickly established a track record for creating cost effective solutions that work. Solutions include property management and availability web application, time scheduling and video deployment web application, CMS sites, the development of shopping sites or information portals, through to online marketing and sales solutions, such as email or SMS campaign management tools.

Whether you are looking to use technology to increase sales, to communicate better, to enhance customer loyalty or to improve access to information through online or offline applications, Montpellier Interactive will provide the solutions you are looking for.

You will work on a range of things; everything from small one off interactive Ajax-based product calculator to further development of our content management system, online managed learning system, property management system, email marketing system etc.

We develop mostly in ASP and ASP.net and host on Windows 2003 Servers, although to tie in with existing work, alternative technologies are sometimes required.

Our customers are from a diverse range of industries, but the common thread is that the internet is a key part of their business. The work is thus varied, but demands a high degree of responsibility.

This is a permanent position. Montpellier Interactive is based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. We offer a competitive salary and 20 days' holiday per year.

Skills required

Educated to College level, you will be have at least 1 year's experience in ASP, MySQL and ASP.net and be able to demonstrate true enthusiasm for these tools. Some MSSQL experience is desirable but not mandatory.

You must also be proficient in HTML and CSS design without relying on a WYSIWYG editor. Reasonable JavaScript and Ajax knowledge is preferable. Creative design ability is advantageous but please note this is not a graphic design role.

It is essential that you have fluency in English, and your written and verbal communication should be good. You will have frequent contact with customers, so you should have initiative and a customer-focused approach.

We work in a small team environment, but we work with partners and customers across the world using various communication tools. We help each other a good deal as a team; but because of the diversity we encounter, you should be a fast learner with a dynamic approach and good problem-solving ability.
